Novel Patterns received the Best Agentic AI Application recognition at the 2nd edition of the ET Enterprise AI Awards 2026. The recognition relates to the application of Agentic AI to complex lending decisions through DecisionOS, Novel Patterns’ decision intelligence platform for financial institutions.
What the recognition represents
DecisionOS connects financial evidence, policy, reasoning and workflow so that AI can participate intelligently across the lending lifecycle rather than operate only as a standalone automation layer.
The underlying approach is designed around a clear requirement for financial institutions: AI-led reasoning should remain grounded in evidence, operate within policy and leave a traceable record of how an output was reached.
Why governed Agentic AI matters in lending
Lending decisions carry operational, credit and governance consequences. Speed alone is therefore not enough. Financial institutions need intelligence that can improve decision capacity while still supporting explainability, auditability, policy control and appropriate human oversight.
That principle is central to DecisionOS: AI can handle more of the complexity surrounding a decision while people retain authority where judgement matters.
DecisionOS: intelligence across the lending lifecycle
The platform brings multiple forms of intelligence into a connected decision environment, including:
- Journey Intelligence — onboarding journeys that adapt to customer context.
- Credit Intelligence — financial information transformed into a decision-ready view with reasoning attached.
- Document Intelligence — documents classified, extracted and checked for inconsistencies and potential tampering.
- Policy Intelligence — policy intent and rules converted into executable, versioned decision logic.
- Post-Disbursal Intelligence — financial and behavioural signals monitored to identify emerging borrower stress.
A milestone in a larger direction
For Novel Patterns, the award is a milestone in a broader ambition to build a connected intelligence layer for financial decision-making.
The objective is not to remove human judgement from important financial decisions. It is to allow AI to reason across evidence and policy, orchestrate more of the surrounding complexity, and make the resulting decision process easier to explain and defend.
Intelligence that reasons. Decisions that remain human. Outcomes that can be trusted.
